How long can a cookie gingerbread Christmas tree. Now I want to do and it as a centerpiece for Christmas dinner. 5 days, we can rely on cookies and still be edible? Should I cover with plastic? I want to be sure, one can still eat in 5 days. Thank you any help is appreciated.

Cookies will become increasingly difficult each day, but still edible. You can cover the thing with Saran foil or if you want to keep it flexible.
Cookies are not unfit for human consumption in a few days or weeks! To sit in dry air.
Most of these things must be kept on the table for weeks.
