Looking to buy a sailboat for use of our family - two adults and three children. I hope this will be used primarily in Lake Erie - the weekend to explore the islands, perhaps a visit to the lakes and / or in Canadian waters. And I had a little "blue water ocean sailing to do - Martha's Vineyard, Long Iceland, perhaps the Bahamas (someday. ..). I want a boat that could accommodate us, and be comfortable. I have a somewhat limited budget -- for example, saw less than 10,000. "ve over at Pearson, Catalina, youth hostels. Three questions:
1) Any other reccomendations?
2) Each vessel / year / model for prevention and care?
3) A note on the wheel vs. cash?
